Tonner Tyler and Sydney
The world of doll Haute Couture truly called to me when I first saw Robert Tonner's Tyler and Sydney dolls on Ebay back in 2003. They were exceedingly, stunningly glamorous and also more substantial and lifelike in build than other fashion dolls that I had been used to.
My first ever Tonner doll was my 40cm Tyler Brunette Saucy basic with articulation at the neck, shoulders, torso, elbows, hips and knees. She has always been my elf princess, and I have recently repainted her to more closely resemble her character's serene elvish beauty. I remember how surprised I was that she was so much larger than Barbie or Sindy, and immediately fell in love with creating beautiful outfits for her to wear. I would definitely say she was my muse! Then my gorgeous 24KT Sydney followed; she has been my most fabulous, delightful model on whom I have prepared all of my creations ever since, from designing and cutting out the patterns, to fitting, to trying on the completed outfit.
A rare pic of my beautiful Syd: Syd does all the hard work, then it's the turn of my photographic models to match the look to the clothes, or vice versa! Below is a gallery of some of my past creations. Please note; None of these outfits or dolls are for sale, they are all in private collections.
