Episode II  Padme OOAK costumes for dolls

Padme's Wedding Gown

                

My version of Padme's wedding dress for my Tonner Tyler doll was made from smooth-woven ivory jacquard fabric, cotton lace, and ivory silk swirl devore. The front panel of the dress was richly hand embroidered, inspired by the embroidery on Padme's dress. It was then hand embellished with tiny crystals and seed pearls. The crochet cotton lace veil was carefully fitted to Tyler's head, lined with a cotton cap for stability, and embroidered with spirals of tiny faux pearls. Long chocolate brown saran hair braids were sewn to the inside of the cap so that the effect could be recreated on my other dolls.
