Arwen style Dusky Pink Gown
Arwen's original gown from Lord Of The Rings
shown for reference purposes only
This was the first of Arwen's gowns that inspired me when I saw the promotional pictures of the fantastic Lord Of The Rings movies. I had been making Tudor costumes for my dolls, so luckly had a lovely dusky pink jacquard fabric that I thought would be perfect for creating a beautifully fitted, elegant outfit for my new Tonner Tyler 40cm doll. I had a perfect silk satin fabric to match, and some thick silver thread which I machine-sewed into a gothic, elven-style pattern to make the belt embroidery. I then handsewed the silver tone diamante jewel in place to complete the ornate effect. I machine embroidered the neckline of the underdress with silver thread, and hand made the front bodice decoration, and tiny silver-tone tiara, by knotting, swirling and stitching the thick silver thread into the desired shape.
